Recipes and more...
I have been using the cookbooks during Farm Bureau weight management workshops where we talk about the importance of eating “real” foods that are high in nutrition and lower in fat and calories. People always hear about using turkey in the place of beef, but they do not necessarily know how to do it properly, or only think of using ground turkey.
I like that the cookbooks show a variety of cooking techniques and turkey variations so that people can easily incorporate turkey without getting bored. I can’t tell you how many times I hear people say that all they can eat on a diet is chicken and broccoli, and that after about a week, they cannot stand the sight of it.
This cookbook allows people to see that chicken is not the only “white meat” option and that they can prepare it in so many different ways.
It is also helpful to have the nutrition information listed on many of the recipes, and people appreciate that the recipes are simple and do not require a lot of fancy ingredients.
